The Beach Boys - Surfer Girl

Surfer Girl comes from the days when The Beach Boys were churning out three albums per year despite constant touring, which is simply insane. Weezer once tried to put out two albums in a single year and their record label freaked out. It's a much different ball game now. Anyway, The Beach Boys were stretching themselves thin, so even though Surfer Girl has some bona fide classics it also has some very unnecessary filler. "Our Car Club" is hardly essential Beach Boys listening. "Surfer Girl" "Catch a Wave" and "In My Room," on the other hand, are bona fide classics. Like many of its contemporaries, Surfer Girl is very fun, but a little uneven.

Baleeted? No. It's important to remember what The Beach Boys' non-compilation output looks like.
