Various Artists - Meet the Deedles Soundtrack

I never saw Meet the Deedles. It looked like a stupid movie at the time, and the 4% rating at rottentomatoes justifies my opinion. There is one reason and one reason only why I own this album: it features a Weezer side-project. Homie was a band formed by Rivers Cuomo with members of Cake, Soul Coughing, and Shufflepuck. The one and only official Homie song to ever be released, "American Girls", is on this soundtrack. It's not a half-bad song, but not up to Weezer quality.

As luck would have it, there's plenty of decent material on this album beside the Homie track. It features a lot of good ska by bands such as The Bosstones, Dance Hall Crashers, Goldfinger, Hepcat, and Save Ferris. There's also a high quality Radish (Ben Kweller's first band) track. This is a super great soundtrack, provided you like ska, which I do.
