Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers-Honky Tonk Union

Roger Clyne is the former lead singer of The Replacements, one of the fine bands that broke out the Tempe, AZ music scene in the 90's. After The Replacements went belly up, Roger Clyne started the Peacemakers and started making some of the best Mexican influenced country rock you'll ever hear. Honky Tonk Union is my favorite Roger Clyne album. There is a ballad, "Green and Dumb," that feels like it was written about my life. There are odes to white trash glory and one of the greatest songs about drinking ever ("Jack vs. Jose"). If you have never heard Roger Clyne's music, this is the perfect place to start.
