One look at the picture on the front of this album tells you everything you need to know about Cinderella. You've got teased hair, lots of fringe, ankle cut boots, zebra striped stretchpants, purple smoke, and loads of 80's metal attitude. Cinderella really was a cut above the rest as far as hair metal acts are concerned. They wrote great songs (both ballads and rockers) that have somehow managed to not sound as dated as some of their contemporaries (eg Twisted Sister and The Scorpions). If aliens ever came down and asked me what this hair metal thing was all about (and really, why wouldn't they?) I would point them to Long Cold Winter first and then Night Songs. If they don't like it, what the filth do they know? They're aliens.
