Jason Cropper is a former member of Weezer who split right before they recorded their fantastic debut album and set sail on a ship made of awesomeness headed for an island named immortality. What did Jason Cropper do after not punching one of the greatest tickets that ever could be punched? He started a band called Chopper One with his wife and a couple friends. They recorded one album (as far as I know) and this is it. Chopper One sounds quite a bit like early Weezer, which is a good thing. I guess I'll never know why he didn't stick with Weezer (the greatest band of this or any other time. Yes, I'm biased) but Chopper One put out a good enough album to prove that Jason Cropper has chops of his own.
