Buck-O-Nine-Twenty-Eight Teeth

I love ska. There's something about the uptempo rhythm of ska that always puts a smile on my face. During the mid to late 90's I was snatching up ska albums as quickly as I could. Most of them are very enjoyable and I still spin them on a regular basis. I can't say the same for this particular platter. Something about Buck-o-Nine just doesn't hit my ska funnybone. Jon Pebsworth's voice just sounds flat and uninteresting and the songs just don't grab me at all. I bought this at virgin megastore back when there used to be such a thing and back when they had a small but generally well-stocked ska section. It is the only thing I bought in that section that I regret.
