I will never stop wondering why The Blues Brothers didn't play more blues. I've heard them play jazz, soul, r&b, and rock and roll, but they don't really get around to playing the blues much. They should have called themselves, "The White Guys Who Play Black People Music of Various Types." It still rolls off the tongue. Anyway, this is a great soundtrack. The version of, "Minnie the Moocher" on this disc is better than any other that I've heard. Also, I prefer the soundtrack version of Aretha Franklin's "Think" to the original version. There's a lot to love about The Blues Brothers. It's just too bad there isn't more blues.
