Blackalicious-Nia

This is not the first Blackalicious album I ever bought, even though it is the first full length Blackalicious release. Nia is a great hip-hop album but it seems a little more ethereal than their other releases. Maybe it's because an intro like "Searching" and an outtro like "Finding" make you feel that way. This album feels like what it is like to be standing in the middle of the blacktop on a lonely stretch of highway somewhere in Southern Utah where no cars are passing by and no civilization is in sight as your mind tries to wrap around the concept of eternity. I love it, but I could understand anyone who didn't.
